Iain Taylor, IMT Consulting

Iain Taylor is a North West based environment, infrastructure and property funding expert with a proven track record of project delivery and partnership working across all sectors.  In recent years, Iain has led on a number of high-profile organisational and project business plans, funding proposals and evaluations working with combined authorities, LEPs, local councils and charitable organisations.

An excellent communicator and strategic thinker with a passion for delivering sustainable development projects which create significant employment opportunities and deliver environmental benefit to communities across the UK.  Passionate about trees, woodlands and great community spaces.

Iain is an Art Gene trusted consultant. Since 2019 he has worked with Art Gene on project evaluation and the development, fundraising and business planning for a large scale ERDF and Cumbria LEP ‘Low Carbon Barrow’ partnership project incorporating Barrow Borough Council.

Prior to the establishment of IMT Consulting in 2016, which Iain created to provide management consultancy advice and project management services to clients on a range of projects and initiatives across private, public and charity sectors, Iain was the Director of Business Development at the Land Trust, a national charity which owns and manages parks and public spaces through a mix of income sources ranging from endowment income to residential and commercial service charges.

Before joining the Land Trust in 2015, Iain worked for the Peel Group from 2007 to 2015, as their Partnerships Director working across the Group delivering large infrastructure and development projects in partnership with the public sector.  Iain led on securing funding, preparing business plans and development appraisals, and managing all financial agreements with the public sector, including grant and loan support, contribution agreements and joint venture agreements.
