REAL BARROW; No more hot air


We’re delighted to launch REAL BARROW; No more hot air, a programme examining issues around sustainability, biodiversity, climate change and low carbon initiatives in Barrow-in-Furness.

In partnership with Barrow Borough Council, Art Gene has successfully brought in £1.75M through the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership and European Regional Development Fund to the borough, to deliver a 2 year programme of low carbon initiatives and events for the town. Environmental Grants Manager

The Low Carbon Grants programme has £225,000 to invest in low carbon projects across Barrow-in- Furness. The aim of the programme is to reach ‘everyday’ locations across the area to showcase the value and benefit of investments in low carbon technology, both for the financial and environmental benefits.

Art Gene are seeking an Environmental Grants Manager, to join our award-winning team. The successful candidate will lead on the development and delivery of Low Carbon Barrow Grants Programme, and will work to promote the opportunity across stakeholders in the area and manage the Low Carbon Grants process. The role is based at Art Gene’s premises in Barrow and will involve close working with the project and finance team at Barrow Borough Council who are the accountable body for the funds.

2-year fixed term part time (2.5 days) contract. Based at Art Gene, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.

Closing 9am Monday 31st May 2021.
