Asif is Sustainability Expert. He raises the profile of carbon proficiency in design practices which includes operation and embodied carbon of design projects. He has also been involved in expanding the environmental remit using systems thinking, this is reflected inside organisations with Science Based Targets and ISO 14001 expertise as well as within the design of a range of differing building typologies.
Asif is an Architect with over 20 years’ experience in delivering Zero Carbon design projects. Notably BedZED and Jubilee Wharf in Penryn, Cornwall. He has worked in the UK and abroad in China and the Middle East. He has a PhD in Life Cycle design of buildings from Cass School of Art and Design at LMU. He has designed components as well as buildings that make sustainable buildings work this has included heat pump systems, solar facades and zero fan power heat recovery systems.
He is able to provide expertise and advice to ArtGene at a range of differing scales from their low carbon arts program to the retrofitting and upgrading of the organisation’s assets. Asif also advises on organisational carbon footprinting and the impacts of the charity’s operations.
