I am a visual artist and filmmaker based in Manchester. Working predominantly with short film, my practice also includes drawing, painting, objects, publications and collaboration. My work centres upon the relationship between the natural world and our multifaceted cultural histories. I have a collaborative practice with fellow artist Jacob Cartwright. In 2015 we were commissioned by Art Gene to produce a series of short films and audio recordings for the Seldom Seen™ Series of Maps, in and around Morecambe Bay. As a result of our research and filming in the region, we made a short documentary, ’Last Acre’ (2016) – a portrait of an off-grid, ‘plotland’ community, located on the sand dunes of Lowsy Point, near Barrow-in-Furness. The film premiered at the 2016 Edinburgh International Film Festival.
