Julie Bell

Julie works as an assistant ranger in South Cumbria. Having spent her formative years in Barrow, and then living and working in London and Manchester for some years, office and city life eventually lost its lure, and the countryside beckoned. After studying for an FdSc in Countryside Conservation and Recreational Management, and gaining relevant voluntary experience with conservation organisations, she effected a career-change. Julie now lives back in the area and connected with Art Gene when checking-out the Allotment Soup launch in October 2016.

Julie is looking forward to the opportunity of working with such an inspirational, creative and visionary company, who are clearly passionate about the local community and area. Her particular interest is looking at the means and methods in how to connect an increasingly disconnected society with their natural environment and nature, and a more sustainable way of life.
